Spectacular Scenery!
Tweedsmuir Park is located
in West central British Columbia between
the Nechako Plateau and the Coastal Mountains. At over 981,000
hectares in size, this vast wilderness area has something to offer all
outdoor recreationalists.
The hundreds of miles of natural lakes and rivers are some of Canada best Rainbow Trout fishing. Eutsuk lake is famous for its wild rainbow weighing up 16 pounds! Pondosy and Musclow lake produce non - stop action on a fly and spinners with trout up to 6 pounds.
The Coastal Mountains on the West side of the park provide breathtaking views of snow capped peaks and the glaciers which stretch to the lakes below. You can actually fill you cooler with fresh ice all summer. Within two hours you can hike to timber line and explore these beautiful peaks first hand.
There is an abundance of wildlife in North Tweedsmuir Park. Whether you are hiking the mountains or fishing the lakes and streams, you are likely to witness a herd of Woodland Caribou, a family of Mountain Goat, a moose, or a bear in their natural setting.
